Nate Wall is a PhD candidate at Wycliffe College (University of Toronto) who specializes in the Hebrew Bible and its reception history. He is currently writing a dissertation on the biblical interpretation of 17th century poet-priest John Donne. Originally from Saskatchewan, Nate is also an alumnus of Briercrest College, where he first fell in love with the biblical languages and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies.
Nate’s academic writing has appeared in print through journals likeTheologiche Zeitschrift, and in a forthcoming volume from Lexham Press. His more popular level writing has been published online atThe Living Church and in print through Wipf and Stock. Most weekends you can find Nate teaching or preaching as Scholar-in-Residence at Church of the Redeemer (Toronto).
Away from the bookcase, Nate enjoys running along the Hamilton Bayfront, playing drums in his local music scene, oscillating between tea and coffee, and trying to keep up with two nieces, one nephew and several godchildren.
